Most of us does not know that windows reserves 20 percent(%) internet connection bandwidth for its updates and some services that requires connection online. The question is, " how to get the 20 percent(%) reserve internet bandwidth to use this for my daily web/internet browsing? ". And that is not a problem. All we need is to do some little hacking and here is how:
In the RUN command type "gpedit.msc". (note: you must have an administrative privilege to do this)
Under Local Computer Policy, go to Computer Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Network then QOS Packet Scheduler.
In the Setting List (in the left), select Limit Reservable Bandwidth. And for you to be aware of what is it, have time to read the description beside (under Extended tab) which says:
Determines the percentage of connection bandwidth that the system can reserve. This value limits the combinded bandwidth reservations of all programs running on the system. and so on... If you enable this setting you can use the 'Bandwidth Limit' box to adjust the amount of bandwidth the system can reserve.
Double click Limit Reservable Bandwidth, choose Enabled. Set the Bandwidth Limit to how much you want. You can event set it to zero(0).
Now surf the web and feel the speed.
